Polymerase Chain Reaction

Polymerase chain reaction exploits the biochemical mechanisms of replication in vitro allowing multiple copies of a segment of a DNA strand to be made. This method requires a double stranded DNA template, a DNA polymerase, nucleotides, and primers.
